The instructional program at QVF is specifically geared towards the complete education of the rider in all aspects of hunter-seat style horsemanship, from the ground up. Many of our students compete on the rated show circuit.

Trainer Vicki Peters provides both methodical and progressive instruction in a safe and fun atmosphere, and remains one of the few certified instructors in the area to this day. Both children and adults benefit from her unique, interactive teaching style, focusing on flatwork principles as they relate to jumping exercises and course work, while keeping each individual's own goals in mind. Whether the rider wishes to learn to compete at the highest level, or to simply ride safely on the trails, the results produced are the same: confident and capable riders!

Lesson Students should arrive a few minutes before their scheduled session and expect to stay a few minutes after. For approximately the first eight lessons, grooming and tacking up the horse will be considered part of their session time, unless they still require assistance after that. Students should wear long pants, and closed boots or shoes with a flat, wide heel, such as a low hiking boot or muck shoe. Helmets are provided, but it is recommended to buy your own for the best fit.

Please also ask us about monthly lesson packages, partial horse leases, and opportunities to participate in horse shows, as well as other services we offer our students and friends, such as pony parties at QVF for birthdays and special occasions!
